Welcome 2012!
I am SO happy to be leaving behind 2011. Although not a horrible year, I just love fresh starts! In the past year I have had some happy and not-so-happy memories. The year started out amazing! I traveled for a little over a month with a good friend through 7 cities and 4 countries. That was the single smartest thing I did after graduating college. I saved for about 8 months and I did it! And wow, did it feel great. If you do one thing in your life... travel! ( well , do lots of other things but it's highly recommended).
I also got the pleasure of being part of one of my best friend's weddings. She got married in September and it was a gorgeous day! She looked amazing, the groom was the happiest man alive and the entire day was filled with so much love. I can't imagine a couple more deserving of the love they share. And NOW they are expecting a baby this summer!
ALERT: Something sad :( My poor chocolate lab Comet passed in 2011. He was 14, sick and ready to go. Many people say their pets are part of their family and Comet was no exception. He was with my family through all my dad's health problems, his passing and thereafter. Therefore, losing him was like losing a piece of my dad but there was no way we would let another loved one suffer. Comet now lives on the mantle at my mom's.
Speaking of my mom, have I mentioned she is the rock that keeps me sane? She also had some exciting news, she got her own apartment! It's cute, in town and totally awesome. Our family is finally getting its footing back and it feels amazing.
